Mika Cardigan & Hat Knitting Pattern

A lovely 8ply knitting pattern for a baby and young children's cardigan with a matching hat.

The Mika Cardigan features a subtle textured stitch pattern with wide garter stitch bands and the choice of one, two or three buttonholes. The matching hat carries the same textured detail and can be knitted either flat or in the round.

A beautiful little set for keeping babies and young children warm and cosy, with plenty of sizing options from 3–6 months through to 5–6 years.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Tension: 22 stitches and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking stitch using 4mm needles.

Needles Required:

• 4mm needles, straight or circular with a 60–80cm cord

• 3.5mm needles for the hat band

• 4mm circular needles or DPNs if working the hat in the round

• 7 stitch holders

• Stitch markers and removable stitch markers

• 1, 2 or 3 buttons, 15–20mm

• Wool needle for seaming and finishing
