For the 4ply sizes they start from the second size in

Baby is size 2 so you cast on 90 stitches
child is size 3 so you cast on 100 stitches
Small adult size 4 so you cast on 110 stitches
For the 8ply sizes they start from the first size in
8ply
Baby is size 1 so you cast on 80 stitches
child is size 2 so you cast on 90 stitches
Small adult size 3 so you cast on 100 stitches
Large adult size 4 so you cast on 110 stitches
