Tips - Knitting Yarn & Different Needle Sizes
This sample is knitted by using 8ply ( also known as double knitting)
8ply is usually knitted on size 4.00mm (old size 8) needles to achieve an ‘average’ knitters tension.
Always check your tension before starting the garment. Read the pattern and the ball band to find out how many rows and stitches are needed to make up the tension sample. If you have too many stitches in your sample use a larger needle; if you have too few, use a smaller needle and try again.
